We believe you deserve to know how the content on The Secure Stash is made.
The short version
Our articles, guides, and Pinterest descriptions are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human before they’re published.
What AI helps with
- Brainstorming topics and outlining articles
- Summarizing publicly available sources such as testing standards, manufacturer specifications, and government guidance
- Producing first drafts and suggesting clearer wording
- Drafting Pinterest pin titles and descriptions
What a human does
- Checks factual claims, especially fire, burglary, and water-resistance ratings, against the original sources, which we list at the bottom of each article
- Removes anything we can’t verify
- Edits for clarity, accuracy, and usefulness
- Decides what products or product categories to mention
What we don’t do
- We don’t present AI output as hands-on testing. We don’t run lab tests on safes. If we ever do hands-on evaluation, we’ll say exactly what we did.
- We don’t invent reviews, ratings, or experiences.
- We don’t use AI to generate fake customer testimonials or fake “expert” personas.
Images
Some images on the site and on our pins may be created or edited with AI or design tools. They’re illustrative and are not photos of specific products we tested, unless a caption says otherwise.
